Technology has greatly impacted the way in which labels and artists make money. With all of the new web based start-ups out there, it’s important to make sure that whoever is using your music is compensating you for said use. Sound Exchange is an organization that collects digital streaming royalties for sound recording copyright holders (i.e. record labels). We’re very excited that we recently executed our agreement with SE, allowing us to collect royalties for the digital streaming of our music. Some people are afraid of the changes facing the record business today. At Sonorous, we look forward to harnessing technology in an effort to greatly expand our reach and open new revenue streams.
